This option allows you to allocate stock quantities to assemblies. This, in effect, `makes' the assembly item.
When this option is selected a screen is displayed that allows you to enter an assembly item.

You can either type it in or press [F2] to pop-up a list of assembly Stock items. [F3] can also be used to pop-up a list of assembly Stock Items by Supplier Code if this is more convenient.
When you have selected a Stock Item, the item's description, sales unit, Stock type, Free stock, tax, Minimum stock and Stock on hand to produce will be displayed.
Note : The Stock on Hand to produce field is calculated to be either enough to replenish the stock item to a minimum quantity, or the maximum that can be made with available stock.
Enter the number of assembly items to create by typing in the quantity and press [Enter]. If there is insufficient stock, a message will appear in the top right-hand corner, but Equity will still allow you to create the entered quantity in negative stock is allowed. This will result in negative Stock on hand figures.
If you wish to list the Stock items that are in the assembly, press [F4]. Items within the assembly cannot be edited from this screen. Press [Esc] to return to the Stock Maintenance Menu.
